September 29, 2015 – City Council member Tom Bordeaux has announced that he is endorsing candidate Brian Foster for the Post 2 Alderman-at-Large seat he currently holds.  Bordeaux announced this summer that he was not seeking re-election.

The announcement was made a Foster’s kickoff event last week via a Skype announcement as Bordeaux had to be out of town.

“Having done the job for the last four years, I can tell you firsthand that no one is better-equipped to be City Councilman than Brian Foster,” said Bordeaux, Savannah City Councilmember.  According to Foster, Bordeaux called him several months ago to encourage him to enter the race.

Foster has a long history of serving the community as the Chairman of the Board of the Savannah Economic Development Authority, and retired last year after 45 years in the banking industry in Georgia, including the founding of First Chatham Bank.

Foster’s event was held at The Charles H. Morris Center- Trustees Garden.

In addition to Alderman Bordeaux, the Foster Campaign has earned the support of several key Democrats and Republicans, including Congressman Buddy Carter, former congressmen Jack Kingston and Lindsay Thomas, State Representative Mickey Stephens, former state senator Eric Johnson, and former Chatham County commission chairman Pete Liakakis.
