Oct. 31 - Greenwood Communities and Resorts Names New Broker-in-Charge of Dunes Real Estate as Baldwin Announces Retirement

Savannah Business Journal Staff Report

October 31, 2016 - Greenwood Communities and Resorts has named Daniel Moskowitz the new broker-in-charge of Dunes Real Estate (formerly Dunes Marketing Group), a 37-year fixture in Lowcountry real estate. Moskowitz assumes the leadership position from Bill Baldwin, who has led the company for more than 30 years and will retire in January.

For the past five years, Moskowitz, current president-elect of the Hilton Head Association of Realtors, has been training alongside Baldwin at Dunes Real Estate as director of sales and marketing to become the company’s new broker-in-charge. Moskowitz has served as a Realtor in the Hilton Head area for more than 10 years and holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from North Carolina State University. He lives in Indigo Run with his wife, Laren, and their daughter, Amara.

Founded in 1979, Dunes Real Estate became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Greenwood Communities & Resorts, the parent company of Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort, in 2012. Later that year, the company opened a new mainland office located at the entrance to Moss Creek and is currently evaluating plans for an off-island office. In 2014, the company changed its name from Dunes Marketing Group to Dunes Real Estate to better reflect their scope of services.

“Since Greenwood Communities and Resorts acquired Dunes Real Estate, the company has extended its focus into all Hilton Head Island and Bluffton communities by reinforcing our agents’ tools and marketing resources, including our recent affiliation with the leading real estate network for $1 million plus transactions, Luxury Portfolio International,” says Bubba Self, president of Greenwood Communities & Resorts. “We look forward to Daniel continuing Bill’s vision and expanding Dunes Real Estate even further.”

“Under the ownership of Greenwood Communities and Resorts, Dunes Real Estate agents now have unprecedented industry resources to grow their business, including the backing of the corporate marketing arm, Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort, that continuously drives hundreds of thousands of annual visitors directly to our listings from Sea Pines to Sun City,” says Moskowitz. “It is a privilege to work for an organization so focused on the experience and success of both our agents and our clients. It has transitioned our company model away from a production by agent quantity and to a culture of focused productive, professional Realtors.”
