Oct. 10 - Chatham County Sheriff Hires New Public Information Officer

October 9, 2018 - Chatham County Sheriff John T. Wilcher has hired Brittany Denney as the new Public Information Officer for the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office. Denney comes to Chatham County from the City of Hinesville where she served as the Public Relations Manager. 

“I am thrilled to welcome Brittany to our family,” said Wilcher. “She came highly recommended and with her strong background in the field, I am confident that we chose the most qualified individual to lead communications for us here at the Sheriff’s Office.”

A former award winning journalist and marketer, Denney has an M.A. in Professional Communication and Leadership from the former Armstrong State University and a B.A. in English from Valdosta State University.

In addition to leading PR, Marketing and Branding for the City of Hinesville, Denney has also served as the Public Relations and Social Media Coordinator for Armstrong State University in Savannah and as the Senior News Reporter for The Valdosta Daily Times in Valdosta, Ga.
