Jan. 12 - Captain Michelle Sabala assumes command of 165th Security Forces Squadron

January 12, 2018 - Captain Michelle Sabala assumed command of the 165th Security Forces Squadron, a unit of the 165th Airlift Wing, GA Air National Guard.  She is the primary advisor to the 165th AW Commander on all matters relating to security and training, the Combat Arms Training and Maintenance program, as well as Wing integrated defense programs which in turn safeguards all 187th FW personnel, equipment, and assets. She has deployed four times in support of Operations Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom, and New Dawn.

Capt. Sabala is a graduate of the University of Alaska, Fairbanks with a degree in English. She also graduated from the American Military University with a master’s degree in Business Administration. She is a resident of Pooler, GA.
