Nov. 28 - Funeral Arrangements Announced for WTOC Reporter Don Logana

November 28, 2016 - Don Logana, morning news anchor and investigative reporter at WTOC-TV in Savannah, was killed in a car crash Sunday, Nov. 20. He was born in Syracuse and graduated from Cicero-North Syracuse High School and SUNY Oswego. 

Before relocating to Savannah, Don worked as a reporter and anchor at WWTI-TV in Watertown, NY, and began his career as a producer and reporter at WIXT-TV in Syracuse. During his career he received numerous accolades, including being named Best Local Investigative Reporter (2015) and Best Local TV News Anchor (2106) by Connect Savannah, and received honors from The Georgia Associated Press, The New York Associated Press, and NYS Broadcasters Association. Additionally, Don volunteered his time to many causes. Those he held close to his heart were Savannah AMBUCS, CASA, Susan B. Komen Race for the Cure, and the National MS Society, Georgia Chapter, where he set records for money raised.

A Funeral Mass in celebration of Don's life will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016 at Sacred Heart Church in Cicero. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum, DeWitt. Family and friends may call from 3-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd., North Syracuse, NY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The National MS Society - Georgia Chapter, The MS Life Center, 950 East Paces Ferry Rd NE, Suite 110, Atlanta, GA 30326.
