Feb. 19 - Chatham County Police Department Hosting Community Meetings to Keep Citizens Updated and Informed

February 19, 2020 - The Chatham County Police Department will host two community meetings in an effort to keep citizens updated and informed about public safety issues in unincorporated Chatham County.

The meetings will focus on the department’s newly completed strategic plan, which lays out the department’s priorities for the next three years, along with crime trends and neighborhood concerns. Chief Jeff Hadley and members of his command staff will be on hand to present information and to answer questions from residents and business owners.

Two meetings are scheduled, one to address issues in the West Chatham precinct and the other for the East Chatham precinct. Residents are invited to attend both meetings, if they wish. 

The community meeting for the West Chatham precinct will take place on Monday, Feb. 24 at 6:30 p.m. at Compassion Christian, located at 55 Al Henderson Boulevard. 

The community meeting for the East Chatham precinct will take place on Wednesday, March 4 at 6 p.m. at the Islands High School auditorium, located at 170 Whitemarsh Island Road.
