Savannah Business Journal Staff Report

December 5, 2017 - PACCI Italian Kitchen + Bar, adjacent to The Kimpton Brice, announced that they recently received the “Best Overall Taste” award at the Taste of Savannah. The Taste of Savannah is the Savannah Food & Wine Festival’s largest event, with over 15 restaurants competing for the “Best Overall Taste” award, sponsored by Cheney Brothers.

According to Executive Chef, Brian Cripps, “I wanted to keep our tasting dish simple, yet delicious and savory, with the ability to mass produce for the large crowds at the Taste of Savannah. At the same time, I wanted to keep it priced reasonably at only two dollars a tasting. Our flavorful Fried Brussel Sprouts side dish, with almonds, currants, pickled mustard seed, crispy pancetta and sage was the perfect choice. The dish got served piping hot right out of the fryer and as soon as we plated them, they were gone!” Cripps also received a $1,500 chef’s master knife set from Cheney Brothers with PACCI’s award-winning dish.

Guests are now enjoying these delicious Brussel sprouts on the winter menu, which also features expanded small plates, daily house made pastas, pizzas, breads and coastal Italian seafood specials such as Pan Roasted Snapper and Baked Oysters. The new brunch menu, which is now available daily at PACCI (not just the weekends), includes a Crab Cake Benedict, Smoked Salmon & Avocado Toast and a decadent Pulled Pork + Pimento Grilled Cheese Sandwich. Brunch is served Monday – Friday, from 7 – 10:30 a.m. and weekends from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
