Savannah Business Journal Staff Report

January 25, 2018 - The Discover Your Voice choir is an inclusive singing group that aims to showcase the therapeutic benefits of singing and music making and help its participants realize their musical potential, presented in conjunction with St Joseph’s/Candler Movement Disorders Program, Savannah Parkinson Support Group, and Savannah Commons.

Led by Candace Deshler, a licensed and board certified music therapist, DYV will meet for an Info Session on Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018 from 3-4 p.m. at Savannah Commons, 1 Peachtree Dr, off Middleground Rd.

Therapeutic singing helps strengthen muscles in the voice, broadens communication skills and improves mood and pain management. Making music as a group can be a wonderful shared experience that will increase social confidence, creativity and bonding.

Experience is not necessary, and all abilities are welcome. RSVP is requested, and may be made by calling 912.927.0500.
