Savannah Business Journal Staff Report

November 10, 2017 - Most concept-stage startups fail because they focus more on developing a product than on meeting the needs of people buying it. The Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) will host Customer Discovery Classes on Thursday, Nov. 16 and Friday, Nov. 17 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. to help address this problem.

This two-day course provides a concentrated overview of the customer discovery and development process, business model canvas and discussions about minimal viable product. By searching for and understanding customers’ real needs, startups reduce the risk of failure. This class is the first in the Customer Discovery Badge Program and typically the first step of a Startup Bootcamp.

The classes are ideal for any entrepreneur who has a concept and needs to validate it or a company who is in the middle of a new product launch.  While ATDC is very tech-focused, this class is good for any industry.

Classes will be held at Bull Street Labs, 2222 Bull St. in Savannah, oThursday, Nov. 16 and Friday, Nov. 17 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
