Category: Education, Colleges & Career

Savannah Business Journal Staff Report

May 15, 2018 - Earlier this month twenty-three Savannah-Chatham County Public School System students from various high schools throughout the district graduated from Memorial Health’s Medical Explorer Post program.

Now in its 19th year, this career exploration program represents a cooperative partnership between the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System, Memorial Health and the Coastal Georgia Council, Boy Scouts of America’s Explorer Post program. During monthly meetings throughout the school year, Memorial Health representatives have generously shared their time and talents with the Explorers.

This year’s program included a CPR/AED Certification Course, along with interactive departmental tours and introductions to many health care career options. The Explorers also participated in hands-on lab activities at the Armstrong Campus of Georgia Southern University’s Nursing Department.
