Savannah Business Journal Staff Report

February 12, 2020 - Restaurants, bars, coffee shops, etc. from all around Savannah, Pooler and Tybee will form teams of four service industry employees to compete for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place medals. Congress Street bars B&D Burgers, The Rail Pub, Barrelhouse South, Social Club, Boomy's and Molly Macpherson's will host a points-based game, obstacle course and/or relay with the teams competing to claim the $1000 grand prize.

The event kicks off with an opening ceremony and speech, after which the teams are given their schedule for the four-hour event. Tourists and Savannah locals alike are invited to watch and cheer on their favorite team free of charge as they run up and down Congress Street to compete against each other in various tasks, like tricycle races, real life "quidditch," beer pong, putt putt and more.

This year, B&D is home to a 135-foot inflatable obstacle course as well as an onsite cocktail-making contest, in which competitors will create original cocktails that will be judged on taste, originality and name creativity. First place winners will receive $1000 cash; 2nd place will receive 4 YETI coolers; and third will be rewarded with gift cards from the host bars and swag like Truly coolers and hats.
